Hey, guys. I think I'm going to go to the doc and get my blood drawn. But what should I ask him to check for? I know I need to know my test levels, but what else should I know? And do I have to ask for specific things, or when they take my blood, will they just let me know ALL I need to know? Thanks.

Usually you ask for a male hormone lab... which includes, test, estrogen, progesterone, LH, FSH, and Cortisol... not everyone wants the cortisol and protesterone, but good idea to get... progesterone for a non-steroid user can indicate presence of cancer cells because many cancers produce this. LH and FSH are important because they can indicate rather if you are low for testosterone, if the fault is in the testicles or in the hypothalmus. Many guys that have ever been knocked cold with concussion can have a faulty hypothalmus which would be undetectable levels of estrogen, low LH and FSH as well as low testosterone. High LH and FSH and low testosterone can indicate you have a failure to produce testosterone in testicles... they may want to make sure no testicular cancer before putting you on anything.Quote:
