I inject to my glutes, oil compounds my question is should I only use 21G or can I also use 22G and 23G needles for deep intramuscular injection.

I am able to inject with a 25g 1-1/2" works well. I bit if a stiff plunger but I like it, it forces me to push it reaaaaally slowly...

yea I know but here in Greece all needles -except insulin type and 25G- comes in the sam length no matter the thickness!! 21G or 23 G is longer than 25G...

I'm not sur ewhat the lenght of a 25 G over there is but yo definitley want at least 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 MINIMUM. even a skinny guy has a thick layer of fat on his glute, ya know? Much less on a delt, that's why you can get away with 1 inch in a delt, some guys can even get by with 5/8 but I would never try that.

just used 25 g for the first time this morning... 2cc's of test e and deca combined. went in with no pain at all, loved it. took alittle longer to get inject done, but who cares if there is no pain. i will be using 25 g from now on. lower gauge to draw of course....

i dont think anyone should ever use anything less then 23g except maybe using it to get juice out of bottle!!

why ruin muscle tissue and go through that pain. pointless pain is just stupid!

Especially if it can be easily avoided. I agree, I do not use anything less than a 23 guage.

I used 25g with my Bold 200 QV,no problem!

The 25ga 1-1/2" pin is the best for most IM injections of oily substances. It causes less trauma than a larger pin. The oil passes more slowly, which is good from the point of prevention of abscesses. If you can't find longer pins in 25ga, order them online from g__**** or other sources.

Draw with the 21ga. The big pin sucks up the gear lickety split. Then change pins to shoot. That way you have a fresh, sharp pin. Passing through the rubber stopper of a vial, or touching the sides or bottom of an amp, dull the pin and increase pain and tissue trauma.

23ga is a reasonable compromise... and in a pinch you can draw with a 23ga. Drawing with a 25ga is like watching grass grow.

this week was my first using 25G and i absolutely loved having to inject the juice SLOOWWWWLYYYYYYY.
