hey mallet,
im currently doing your 7on 5off with t3. ive got some liquid stuff. ive been monitering my bbt and yest i took 180mcg. it was only 35.7 degrees this morning. im wondering if i should bump it up a little like you said if my temp is low etc. how much? 20mcg? also when is it best to take this? as soon as i wake up or midday after training?

And what is 35.7 degrees, in Farenheight? What's your ideal temp (I'll assume 98.2F) for this purpose?

I forget the conversion....I lived in New Zealand for a decent time....and what I remember about celcius is that 0 is freezing, and 100 is boiling...10C is cold out, 20C is nice, and 30C is hot....
I don't know the conversion exactly....
He's 96.2 degrees Farenheight, if he's 37.5C....I can only assume he's trying to get to 98.2F aka 36.77C
0 degrees fahrenheit= -18 degrees celcius is the only thing i can remember.

I did it on my mobile phone....Nokia's have a "Conversion" menu where you can do that stuff...the actual formula involved division by 9 or something and multiplying by 200 or some nonsense....
yeah 35.7 = 96.2, thats what it was this morning upon waking. optimal fat loss is 97.6-98.2 (off the top of my head that is). so again, do i up the dose or does it take a bit for the t3 to kick in?

Yeah...I figured those were "his" reccomendations...they are verbatim from Dan Duchaine's "Body Opus"....as is most of what Mallet says (*the correct stuff, anyway).
so hooker can you help me? or do i have to wait for the man himself?
You'll be waiting for Duchaine awhile....he's passed away. If you are waiting for Mallet to come here and repeat what Duchaine said a decade ago....then you may be in luck....
To be honest, though...I think you should just run the cytomel straight through (no Xon/Yoff bullshit), and increase the dose until you reach your optimal BBT.

I'm w/ hooker on this one> I don't like mallets way of using t3. Maybe it's good for some ppl but I just can't see taking that much t3 in one day to be safe.
I'm not 100% familiar with "his" way...I know alot of it is simply Duchaine's way...and the rest is wrong.

Sorry I couldn't tell you ....whatever it is you're looking for. I can tell you how to get your BBT to where you want it...but not with that absurd dosing protocol..I can't even imagine the reasons behind that type of dosing scheme.
I saw someone say he was taking 225mcg's/day!!
To me that is highly insane, but it's just my opinion on the matter.

You may want to check out my stuff on Synthroid and Cytomel in the Profiles forum.
One study I mentioned in them shows people quickly regaining thyroid function after 30 years (!) of using thyroid meds...hence....that 5/7 dosing protocol to avoid yadda yadda yadda....is dead and buried. Officially.

speedz, yea it worked, I also use the other way, which is starting off slow and going up to around 100mcg and then backing it back down. which can be found in the educational thread under ceylon t3 cycle. I tend to like this way better. I dont think I have ran mallets enough to give it a reall run for its money.

Just for the record I'm staying out of this arguement because I probably don't know as much as the 2 of you when it comes to t3 but speaking from personal experience...Taking that much t3 in one day would render me useless in everyday life let alone the gym.
As long everyone's civil I see no problem with the discussion/debate.
I am making 2 claims in this thread:
1. Mallet took most of what he says from Dan Duchaine
2. The rest is incorrect
I can prove claim 1 by making references from BodyOpus and DirtyDieting(works by Duchaine) and I can prove claim 2 by references to endocrinological/medical journals and textbooks.
If we're going to have any sort of discussion about this topic, I'm game...
