Testosterone and Fertility

Currently I'm taking 1.2 grams of Testosterone Eth weekly and have concerns about getting my girlfriend pregnant. She is not on any birth control and does not want to get pregnant. Does testosterone eth effect sperm count or decrease fertility enough to have unprotected sex?

testosterone was studied back in the day as a possible male birth control. Don't remember exact numbers, but something like 100 mg/week was supposed to be 90% effective (something like that) at preventing pregnancy. Any dose higher won't increase the effectiveness though, so 1.2g/week won't put you at 100% effectiveness. I would still use another form of BC though....i have known guys that got their gf pregnant while on cycle

thank goodness someone said it. The day you count on test as an effective male birth control is the day you experience the surprise of unwanted pregnancy. If she doesn't want to get pregnant, get her on the pill or wear a condom. Do not under any circumstances think that the test will keep her from getting pregnant.

remember your body still makes test even when shut down... the shrinkage only indicates a loss of a certain chemical... not actual complete loss in production.
