    ice or heat

Finally hit my triceps last night. 0.75 ml/Prop w/25GA x 1". Had trouble getting pin in far enough, I now have some major swelling/pooling on the outer head. Should I use ice or heat to get it to go down? I found the tri harder to penetrate than the pec. Won't be doing that again. Also, went from 40mg to 50mg/day of Anavar starting last week. There is seriously a big difference for me, wow.

Hell no, I will stick with my 6 sites. I got some antibiotics, cleared it up. It got red and swollen, warm to the touch. Tri injects suck, IMO of course.

Heat is used more for chronic injuries, it stimulates blood flow to the area, reduces pain but it INCREASES swelling and inflamation. Ice is safer, it will reduce the swelling and inflamation, take ibuprofen for the pain.

    sexykitty is right.
ice for 20 minutes at a time to reduce swelling. Heat will increase swelling since it attracts fluid to the site, so DON'T do that.
Ice only. Ice will also help with pain as it slows nerve conduction of sensory neurons.

yah ice is good only to slow and decrease swelling like when u get a bruise or so. It is best used when the injury occurs though, so right now if it is as swollen as its going to get. Its just going to help with the pain. Definately no heat.
