    Just finished reading Canseco's book...

noted some inconsistencies.... he states, "I came home to Miami after playing minor-league baseball in the Oakand A's system for the 1984 season....five foot eleven and one hundred and ninety pounds....Those first injections were with an oil-based steroid , so it took about two weeks before there were any noticeable effects."

mind u he was borin in 1964...making him 20 years old at the time...

how did that monster grow from 5'11" to 6'4" if he took what was most likely testosterone in his first cycle, in which that case, fuses the growth plates..???

    couple things,

    1. It isn't guaranteed his epiphesial growth plates or whatever will fuse from testosterone , especially since he said he liked to take low doses of testosterone and higher doses of other compounds like winstrol and equipose.

    2. Sometimes the addition of hormones actually causes a quick growth SPURT before fusing the plates. You never know.... just my opinions

And how could there be "noticeable effects" in 2 weeks? Usually if done right, Test kicks in about in week 4-5, oil-based AS....

I got one thing to say about that rat bastard...F UCK HIM! F UCK HIM IN HIS EAR! F UCK HIM IN HIS OTHER EAR! That piece of sh!t is on the new "sureal life" all because he got back into the spot light by ratting out his fellow brothers in iron. I refuse to buy his book or even read it because I don't support or condone the ratting out of other brothers-NO MATTER HOW MUCH MONEY THERE IS!! And if anyone says that they would do it for money then they are just as big of a piece of sh!t if not bigger then Jose Canseco! Okay, I'm done ranting.

I knew several guys in high school in the late 80's that were taking steroids , only one of them got taller and way taller(5'8" to 6'1") all others remained short and are still short to this day. I did not go on, as 3 of them got bitch tits, until I was knowledgable to some degree and had several years of lifting under my belt. I waited about 15 years before starting even though I had access to roids.

His fellow brothers in iron? Bro hes a baseball player not a professional body builder. Secondly juice is not good for baseball or any other sport maybe the game will pick up and do something about this little dilemma.

The book was an autobiography about his life and his playing career. He was pretty much blackballed from baseball for steroids 38 homers shy of 500...which is going to keep him from the hall of fame. I would be pissed to if i saw my ex teammate (mark mcgwire) being called one of the greatest players ever when mcgwire juiced as much as canseco. No one blackballed mcgwire, bonds, giambi and the list goes on...yet all the blame falls on canseco. Why??? what did he do differently than the other juicers in baseball? The book was not to rat on people...if you would read it most of it has nothing to do with steroids, its about life in baseball and what happens behind the scenes. He never bad mouthed juice or juicers he tried to make everyone understand that steroids are the future of elite sports and they are not going anywhere any time soon.

oh and the 5'11 to 6'4 thing was most likely from the Growth Hormone .

i found Canseco's book interesting, yet I don't agree with him ratting out Rafael Palmeiro...the man has been through enough embarassment by making a Viagra commercial...lol

Test dosn't fuse the growth plates... estrogen does... if he was taking adaquate anti-E's the hardening could have been avoided....

I would like to hear your reasoning behind this, why you think juice is not good for any sports?

all in all i thought the book was a good read .... not gonna hate on him although i hate the attention that he brought to baseball ... but whateva

and Demon .... steroids ARE VERY GOOD for baseball .... how do u think it got so big after the strike ?

The negative media attention is what kills steroids in sports . Those ass-clown reporters dont know shit and can write anything and people will believe it.
