    Does pantothenic acid (B-5) really prevent acne while on cycle??

    I'm in the beginning of a cycle that has some cyp in it and I'm starting to break out. It's not too bad, but obviously it still sucks to have acne on your shoulders and back. I heard b-5 takes care of that. Anyone have success using b5 to prevent acne?

    It works for some people, get the powder as doses are high. I have only used 1.5grams per day on one cycle and I think it helped. They say if you already have major acne that 10grams is the magic # and then once under control 1.5grams is maintainance.

    Yes, Pantothenic Acid (vitamin B5) helps strengthen your skin's ability to properly metabolize its own skin oil. When you are on any substance that activates your skin's oil glands, your body will likely begin to struggle to keep up with all the oil, and your pores will get clogged. Then you get acne. B5 helps your body prevent this from occuring.

    As said above, 10g/ed is the usual "loading" amount. After that, lower the dosage to 1.5g-3g/ed. That should help you out.

    i've been using 10g for 3 days now and already i see improvement. my face doesnt get oily anymore... and i had some bad oily skin.

    you can get it anywhere. GNC, Vitamin Shoppe, pretty much any supplemnt website.

    Worked for me at 1.5g/day. It basically helps dry out your skin preventing the oil build-up.

    Good to know, I'm definetely gonna pick some up. I think it usually comes in 500mg capsules, right? Those are very high doses that everyone was mentioning. Do you guys just swallow all those pills, or is there a powder version?

    if you are running 10g\day like me... take 3g first thing in the morn, 2g at lunchtime, 2g at dinner, and 3g before bed. i use the 500mg pills.

    its working great!
