would it be a good/bad idea to use my first ever cycle as a cutting cycle? i've got a good foundation of about 7 years of training.

it really all depends on ur goals. what r ur stats? you will still put on muscle during a cutting cycle, just more Lean mass as opposed to bulk.

Cut naturally to 10 or at most 12%, then do a bulking cycle or two. Cut naturally between cycles, waiting for full recovery before reducing calories. Clen might help. Use a cutting cycle when you are already fairly lean. Sounds like a paradox, I know... but it is more efficient that way. AAS can be used to good effect when cutting, but the differences are most dramatic when you are already pretty lean. It is difficult to get well down into the single digits and stay that lean for any time, naturally, while holding significant muscle. It is a bit easier with gear. So don't use gear to make the improvements you can make naturally... use gear to make the improvements that you cannot make naturally. The discipline gained by running successful natural cutting phases will come in handy when trying to squeeze all possible benefits from juice. So cut naturally first, then let that first cycle be a bulker... 500mg test per week for 10 wqeeks is a great start. Come off, have a good pct, cut a bit and then try test/deca or maybe test/eq. You will grow like crazy. Cut naturally again as before, then try a cutter... maybe something like:
prop 75mg/day weeks 1-10, max 100mg/ED
fina 50 to 75mg ED weeks 2-9 (increase the prop as needed to keep it a bit higher than the fina)
winny 50mg/ED weeks 5-10
clen as tolerable, week 10 through the end of pct.
Benadryl every third weekwhile on clen, 75mg/ED for a week.
Add some T3 optionally.
If you go into this cycle big and lean, you will come out hard and leaner. Go in as a fat guy and you will not notice nearly enough difference to have made it worth the hassle and expense. THat is the secret about cutters. The difference is incredible if you already are fairly trim. The difference is small if you are carrying a lot of fat.

Awesome info Baron - I've been doing just that - cutting naturally since June 1 in prep for a bulk cycle to start Sept 1 (500 mg test / wk @ 12 wks) 3 days intense cardio / 3 days circuit training - clean diet. The cool thing is last 2 weeks I've actually gained 2 lbs while continuing to reduce my waist measurement / bf % Anyway good to know your advice.
