Infection notwithstanding, most needles are coated with a thin sheen of silicon which dramatically reduces friction going in. This sheen of silicon is removed with the first penetration. If you look at a needle under the microscope, it's not very smooth at all (no metals are). Also, the tips aren't designed for multiple use. Check this out.

These are actual, magnified photographs of needles that have been reused.

Why did you or your friend run out? j/k

They are one of the cheapest things needed while on a cycle. Why be a rebel and increase the chances of infection.

I disagree. There is a definite possibility of a problem. If you want to use your needles more than once that is your prerogative, but suggesting others follow suit is irresponsible.

THat's just plain stoopid. A rig costs 17 cents in quantity. A fresh pin to change after drawing, before shooting, costs another 7 or 8 cents. I bet your gear costs you at least 6 bucks every pop. So why are you worried about re-using a pin? A fresh, sharp pin goes in sweet. And why have to worry about infection from your injection equipment? Why, when it is so inexpensive to have new, sterile equipment for every shot? Dumb. syringes and pins are a lot easier to get than gear, and cheaper than dirt.
