I've plan on running test e at 500mg for 12 weeks. I am currently in my 4th week. Can extend the cycle to 15 weeks? What effects would this have?
My first cycle I ran for 16 weeks. I ran Dbol for 5 weeks 25 mg only on days I worked out and Enanthate at 400 mg weekly for 15 weeks. The reason I extended my cycle is because I was still getting gains towards the end of my cycle. It all depends what works for you. Running your cycle a few more weeks isn't going to kill you. With proper PCT, i recovered quickly and you should be able to also. First cycle is always the most fun IMO because it's cool to see your body make a big transformation for the first time.
I AM LOVING MY FIRST CYCLE. It is alont of fun, but will extented my cycle greatly effect my kidneys or liver?Quote:

Not if you're running a Test only cycle at 500 mg a week. You should be fine if you want to extend it for a couple more weeks. :7up:Quote:

Maybe you should wait until week 10 or 12 to decide. Especially if you have no hcg on hand, you might want to stop it right there. But shrinky-balls will eventually plump back up without it, assuming a proper pct. There might be other reasons to stop or to continue when you reach that point. Since you are not running winny or anything like that at the end, you can be pretty flexible on when you stop the test. Me, I was itching to stop at the end of my first cycle. I was eager to get through pct and see my final results, and also eager to recover and then cut for a few weeks. I am just finishing a long cycle now, but now I feel an urge to continue it for another 4-5 months LOL!
Whatever you do, good luck. That is a nice first cycle and it will teach you a lot about AAS and about your body. Hopefully you will also learn what it takes to make good gains on gear and how to keep them, too. Welcome to the dark side.

i agree with baron...if you are thinking about extending it get some hcg now
So at the end of a test only cycle one should look at using hcg in pct? Would you use it along with nov?

No, hcg is not part of pct. Hcg is used at the end of the cycle but before pct. You see, hcg mimics LH, which is the hormone that tells your balls to make testosterone. While you are on cycle, your pituitary is not pumping out any LH to speak of, and the testicles can atrophy. Specifically I think it is the leydig cells that shrivel up and die off or something, but that is an academic detail. Now, when you run your pct, you are helping your hypothalamus and your pituitary get back on track, and in the absence of high hormone levels, get the feedback loop working so that LH is released. Okay, so you get your LH... but your balls have shrunk from basically dis-use and now it takes a few weeks of exposure to the LH to get them making significant amounts of endogenous test again. But what if you do not begin pct with atrophied balls? What if you have already been exposing them to LH or more practically, to HCG? So the balls work, even in the absence of LH. Then at the end of the cycle, you let your exogenous test levels fall off as you continue hcg. You are setting yourself up for pct. Then you stop hcg so that the test that the hcg caused your nads to make, clears out of your body. Before the nuts can shrivel back up again, you start your pct and get the feedback loop on line again. Soon, you are right as rain, without having to wait on your balls to come back to life. THey are already raring to go, waiting only for the message from the pituitary that says, "hey there, fellas, not enough test around here. How about making some, huh?"
Clomid is the major bomb for pct. You also want to run nolva all the way to the end of pct. A low dose will do, unless you have gotten yourself a case of gyno. But it has little to do with the hcg. It only keeps the small amount of estrogen in your body from having an out of proportion effect on your body while the test levels are low. Oh, it also helps to prevent hcg from desensitizing the balls to LH, which can happen with high doses for extended periods, or even just a few extremely high doses.
See the profile on hcg. Great read. If you can't be arsed, then just figure on your last hcg shot being a week before you begin clomid, and dose 250iu E3D or up to 500 if you like. Longer use dictates lower doses IMHO. You can bump it up higher right at the end if you like but no need, I am thinking. If the balls are working, then they are working. You aren't trying to turbocharge them at this point but just keep them functional. You can either run hcg right through the cycle, or begin it when you notice shrinkage, or wait until right near the end of the cycle so you only take maybe 5 shots or so. It's all good. I prefer to start it when shrinkage becomes evident and tailor the dose to just keep them plumped up to near normal size. Usually 250iu E3D works a charm for me.

i might run some hcg then twords the end of my cycle but is it okay if i dont do hcg. What effects will this have on my balls? Will they not grow back to normal size? Will this make my pct rougher?
How long would you use HCG for if you were gonna use it mid cycle?
If i wanted to use it half way through a prop cycle what dosage should i run, and for how long?
I'm guessing 250-500iu E3D, but for how long?

After doing a little bit more reading and i think it's fair to say 2 weeks at 500-1,000iu's per week should do the trick
Does that still sound right?
Dont run the HCG for too long at a time..Correct me if I'm wrong but it has an opposite effect. I agree with the method that Baron describes...injecting HCG within the last week of cycle should set you up for pct and should help you recover faster by 3 fold.

Desensitization should not occur with low doses. Remember, you are using it to mimic LH. So if the amount of hcg is less than what would be required to get the result equivelant to normal LH, then you are not desensitizing, period. See Hooker's excellent profile. You can use it off and on like that if you like, but remember this stuff is perishable and it should be used within a month of mixing it, even if properly refrigerated. So take that into account. No sense wasting it. If you can find 2500iu kits, that would be teriff... you could do 10 shots of 250iu each, E3D and you got a month's worth of hcg which hey, corresponds with the toss-it date. With a 5000 iu kit if you do less than 500iu E3D you will of course be throwing some out. Don't let that influence you to use a higher dose than you would prefer, though. Basically, just remember that for longer duration of use, low dose is the only way to go. Somewhat higher doses are okay for shorter runs. 1000iu E3D for 3 shots at the end of cycle, for instance would probably be okay. The old guys who first broke out this stuff often did 3 big shots, 5 days apart... up to 5000 iu. We know better, now, but that should illustrate the difference in safe doses between long and short runs of this stuff.Quote:

Your recovery might take a little longer. You might lose a tiny bit more of your gains. It is not THAT big of a deal. Old timers got by just fine without this stuff and they ran long cycles... but if you got it or can get it easily, I say go for it for any cycle over 12 weeks or so. It is worth it, to me.Quote:
