is Deca worse than Test at HPTA suppression??

I have heard quite bad things about Deca's HPTA suppression, probably mostly due to its very long acting nature...How bad is it on the 'boys' and will retention of gains post cycle be any good? Another concern is the slow half-life so it is detectable in drug tests for like 18 months.

Please list any Deca specific side effects, as I have never used Deca before... I was thinking about once weekly injections of 200mg. Is this ideal?

Very suppressive. Holding on to your gains isn't too bad but you will lose a decent chunk of them from the high water retention.
