asperate and saw nothing

i shot myself a few hours ago, i dont know what i was thinking but i shot needle and started to plung (maybe for 1 sec) and realized i didnt asperate. so i pulled the plunger back and didnt get any blood or air, nothin. so pulled needle out and did it again about a half inch over in thigh with no problems. why didnt i get anything on the first try?

You do not want to get anything... it is intramuscular. If you do get blood then you relocate inject site.

Getting nothing in the syringe is a good thing. It mean your deep in the muscle and not in a vein. You may get some tiny bubbles when you aspirate sometimes, this is nothing to worry about.

no, no blood. im just used to getting a small air bubble so when i pulled back and got nothing i was confused. re-injected and got air.
