    Help... TORN ROTATOR CUFF

I am a baseball player that was about to do another cycle which I have previously posted but I ran into a huge problem. I tore my rotator cuff. My question is what is the best steroid to help me through the pain and help lubricate the joints. I am opting not to get surgery but I need to stregnthern everythign around the rotator cuff to keep my arm in playing condition. Is there anyhting out there I can take to help this?

First of all, if you keep lifting with your shoulder you're only gonna f*ck it up worse. You NEED to let your body heal naturally.
Anti inflammatories like aleve or advil will help it heal.
    Don't rely on AAS now

I feel what your saying, but if he pushes it and makes it worse he may never play again after this season.

It's his decision in the end, though. I personally would rather wait 6 months and be able to play for another 5 years, than injure myself for the rest of my life. But deca would be the way to go to lubricate 200mgs/wk and add 250mgs/wk of test to keep the wood working

Be careful if your getting tested though, because nandrolone is detectable for up to a year after you stop the cycle

yeah 5-7, not the best if your getting tested. Maybe test prop would help build some muscle around it, only takes about 3 days to kick in and has a much shorter detection time(which can be eliminated completely with the new clense product......but you shouldn't use that product to beat testing)

I agree I had a partially torn rotator cuff and on my last cycle I thought I could strengthen the area etc............. But guess what It tore further so now I gotta have surgery.

SOK is right let your body heal 1st

There is also mobic that should work good also it is a NSAID

Do it naturally and let it heal as hard as it may seem.

I played JC ball and after shoulder surgery (torn bicep tendon, two labrum tears, and stretched shoulder capsule) took DECA by itself (DECA DICK) for my shoulder. Yeah, it accelerated my therapy, but when I came off, my shoulder felt like shit and I tore my labrum in two new spots and had to have surgery again.

After the next surgery, I did it naturally and my shoulder feels great.

i tore my shoulder capsule around 10months ago but kept on playing rugby through the pain untill my body just couldn't take it anymore. Went for scans and saw the specialist who just told me that there is no point operating on me as it won't improve with surgery i must just let it heal and do rehab etc to strengthen it. He also told me that i will never be able to play rugby again....

So 10months down the line or physio and rehab and gym work my shoulder is 80% ok,still gives me problems now and then and dislocates or sublaxes is the correct term. But no amount or juice or gym or rehab will ever get my shoulder to 100%.

My advice is to stop everything and rest,do the rehab, see a physio and get into the gym. Do it slowly and naturally. You need to heal and strengthen not strain it more and make it grow. It will take a long time but rather that then not bing able to play the game you love anymore. and i'm only 22....

Man. why is this even a question? The answer is clear. Time off. Heal. Repair. Renew. Restart!

agree 100% and a RC injury is going to take a lot of time.

Are you kidding ? So instead of pointing him in the right direction you want to help him play a few more games and be scarred for life ? Great help you are.

I have been fighting a RC problem for about 4 months now, and mine was not that serious. The doc gave me a cortizone shot, you may want to check into that. Also a lot of PT with resistance bands, electroshock, etc. Also taking Celebrex everyday, and lots of time off. It sucks, and is a very slow recovery process but you would be wise to let it heal. Deca would likely only mask the problem, good luck bro.

Do not mess with injuries man. Time off may seem hard, but it's better than possibly putting yourself out for a very long time.

I disagree with all the folks saying "let it heal". Torn cartilige doesn't heal. No amount of time will heal this injury. Maybe give it a couple of weeks for the swelling to go down, but after that, keeping your muscles strong will help to hold your shoulder in place. I tore mine when I was 14 years old and I have been living with it for 16 years. Sometimes it hurts a lot. Mostly it's fine if I keep in shape and don't sleep on it. I couldn't immagine throwing baseballs though. Mine certainly limits my range of motion severely. Lots of physical therapy is the best answer. I think you're a hell of a lot more like to injure it further playing baseball than lifting weights.

I can't give any advice about steroids , but I have experience with torn rotator cuffs. I've been lifting weights on and off for the past 5 years. I have more trouble with my shoulder when I don't lift.

Look into HGH. A good cycle of that WHILE you rest and recover could help strengthen the connective tissues. I agree that I would not lift heavily and use AAS again until you have recovered. That being said, I agree partially with Amadeus, Amadeus... I mean Falco, that strengthening the muscles of the shoulder joint will help keep it strong and in place.

if you want to get better without sg you need to go to therapy, that is the only way to get better/ strengthen your shoulder otherwise you will be ****ed as time goes on. there are certain ways to work your arm/ shoulder to gain strength/ over come your problem to the best of your bodies abilities you just need a Therapist to so you!

    exactly!

The exercises the therapist teaches you are pretty simple. After you learn how to strengthen it, you will be fine on your own. Go to a therapist and learn how to take care of yourself.

there is no quick fix, if there was than pros would only need a couple months for this injury but it takes them up to a year to get back and some are never the same and they have better trainers and more money than you do so its not in your favor.

when pros tear rotator cuffs, they either have surgery or they are back after a couple of weeks, and they usually have surgery in the off season. The surgery takes a long time to recover, but usually less than a year for professional athletes if they ever come back. On the other hand, the folks I know who have had the surgery took significantly longer than a year to "recover" and they never were back to 100%

There is no reason why the OP can't continue to play ball if he decides it's worth doing the additional damage that he undoubtedly will do. Eventually this injury will probably end his baseball career.
