    dead lifts

How many of you guys out there are hooked on dead lifts?
I don't see ANYONE else doing them at my gym.
They are such a basic all encumpassing excercise, and they make you grow.
    Any thoughts?

I did them today for the first time in about 8 months. It really is a power exercise and wear your belt. This is a steroid question forum

I do them every week. I love them they make me feel like a real man. Almost no-one at my gym does them either and I'm not sure why. I just moved up to 8 plates this week (385lbs including the bar) for 7 reps my PB by far!

that is an excelent lift spoon, 7 reps 0f 385. You may have a powerlifter inside trying to get out! Be carefull bro, my pb "was" 450 for 4reps. I have two herniated discs in my lower lumbar. They have been there for years now, and I do DL again once a week. Light, never over 315.

deads used to be my favorite core excercise. now its back to bench. i worked up to 585 on deads for reps, and a 675 pull in competition for my personal record. but im not as concerned as i used to be for them so theyre floating around 500 for my final set i guess. deadlifts wear you out more than any other excercise after the years

At my colleges gym I find for the most part that I am one of the VERY few guys that do deadlifts. Like I think I have seen a couple other older guys do them but only like 125-225 lbs on the bar. Im 19 now and I do 405 for 10 reps. Im real out of place at my gym, dont really have the funds to join a real gym, so the universities will have to do for now...

no one does deads at my gym either. funny thing is that they all look at me like I'm some kinda freak of nature when I'm doing them. I hit em as my final excercise in my back routine and don't go more then 315.

I do love dl's. Haven't done them in like a month though. Just been on a diff routine, but after reading this I might get motivated to through them in again.
