    Can drug testers determine if Test is from plant origin in addition to T/E ratios?

    I have heard drug testers have gotten quite clever in that they can determine if test is from plant origin, which all synthetic is. This is because ppl were beating the T/E tests by doping with epitestosterone. Is this possible? Is this common?

    Yes, they can tell if the epitestosterone is synthetic in origin by comparing the ratio of isotopes in the compounds. Here's a link to one study on this:

    I would imagine this is pretty expensive and probably only done at the Olympic level.
