DEA Launches Crackdown On Internet Drug Ring
POSTED: 7:23 am EDT September 22, 2005
WASHINGTON -- It's believed it will make a major dent in the illegal sale of prescription drugs on the Internet.
Drug enforcement agents said they've arrested at least 18 people in a crackdown. In addition, agents have shut down at least 4,600 Web sites that were controlled by the suspects.
Thirteen of the arrests were made in Texas and five in Florida.
In addition, the Drug Enforcement Administration suspended the registrations of 20 doctors and 22 Internet pharmacies in the United States, including Puerto Rico, to stop them from writing or filling prescriptions.
The investigation also involved law enforcement officials from the FBI, Internal Revenue Service, Food and Drug Administration and the U.S. Attorney's Office.

You guys ever do searches on the Internet and wind up on some of these pharmacy sites by mistake? Like they somehow manipulate things to get decent rankings on google and such.
Damn, I'm kind happy they are getting busted just so I don't have to waste my time when searching for something.

Come on not all of them are scammers - the sad thing is that the Feds were probably going after the real ones!
