    does niacin promote fat gain?

I know this may sound stupid, but; since niacin clears the blood of fats and tryglicerides does that mean it wont alow your body to burn as much fat?

Thus making it harder to burn fat?

but that fat has to be in your blood in order to burn it off correct?

so if niacin clears the fat from the blood then... wouldnt it not burn off?

to my knowledge it doesnt really matter what source is used for energy since the metabolism of fats/proteins/carbohydrates are all combined in the citric acid cycle. Lets say that u use up sugars instead of fat for energy, then eventually the fat that was unused will be used to replenish the sugar stores for example. Ofcourse this aint as clear cut as I make it sound. but all in all the total calories are the most important. Fat is very dynamic tissue. It is continously broken down and reassembled even though u r not dieting..

yes, they sell topical fat burners that soposidly relise fat into the bloodstram to burn off so people pay money for this benifit, it seems niacin would be very bad then

even so I would still think that u wont actually lose any fat if u keep eating the same.. Maybe if included in dieting this could give a synergistic effect?
