    Cool Broken amps

    Is there a good way to open amps w/out an amp opener? Dont want to break too many.

    Yes...get a finger nail file and saw around the edge evenly to create a groove.Then get the cap from a pen.Insert the head of the amp in the cap and snap quickly.Works like a charm........

    Amps can be a real pain. I have had one bust in my hand stabbing me with glass. It is very important to saw a little groove before breaking so it will break at the weak spot and not just bust apart.

    Easiest way for me was to to take a file and score the neck of the amp....this will create a weak spot. I always broke my amps with two hands.....then just try and snap the head off.
