to answer this question, simply before you place the needle into the amp, retract the plunger up to about 1cc. Then stick the needle into the amp. Inject the 1cc amount of air into the amp. Then you can fill your syringe without that problem.

Its because you're not injecting the same amount of air into the vial as the product you're taking. You're creating vacum inside the vial and thats why its sucking it back in.

GetHuge you can continue to use 18 g to draw from your amps, but I will warn you as I was warned once(I didn't listen). An 18g pin repeatedly shoved through a rubber stopper will cause it to chunk, meaning it will break off hunks of rubber and leave them in your gear, or worse, unnoticed in the syringe. If you inject a foreign solid particle into your body you will not be happy, and it is tough to explain. It is IMO always worth the extra 5 seconds needed to draw with a 21g.

i do agree with you on the 18g. It does eventually jack up the rubber and I have had to filter out my gear because of it. I would use the 21g like mentioned.

That advice works for vials but not amps.

GetHugeDieTrying: are you using amps or vials? I am confused.
