they should be pretty accurate and if your on cycle then those readings are probably pretty close.. anything over 150 u should start to be carefull. maybe talk to a doc. but keep monitoring it..
at what point should i be like wow maybe i need to go to the hospital
what were your activites and food intake 2 hours leading up to you taking your bp?
i had just eaten a sandwich but not much physical activity besides walking through walmart
Walmart or any other pharmacy blood pressure machines are less than accurate. You might want to do it 3-5 time and take the average but check out the deviation each time. The repeatability is not good!
I dont know about walmart bp machines, but the ones I find @ Publix and Walgreens, unfortunately the cuff is only accurate up to a 15" arm. Unfortunately, for THAT purpose my arms are too big for the machine, so it won't measure it accurately. It should say up to the max. inches the cuff takes. I was getting high readings when I would measure my bp until I noticed why, my arms were too big for the cuff. So I bought a bp machine that had a bigger cuff, my reading came out a lot better.
yup and about goin to the ER - dont worry... bp like that is not dangerous in short term . only if u keep getting high numbers then u might have to think about goin to the doc.
