I was told that when on a cycle that you can train more often because of how fast you're able to recover. Does that mean that I could do half my training that I'd do in a week in one day, the other half of what I'd do weekly the next, and keep this every other day routine going for maybe 5-6 days a week?

Well gear makes it so you can increase reps weight and intensity, but it doesn't make you superman. You should just try increasing your workload by 15-20 percent.
