If its your first cycle, no, 400mg/wk is fine. Id extend it to either 12 or 14 however.

if this is your 1st cycle mate 4-500mg weekly for 11-12 weeks would be more than enuff to make some great gains,as long as your trainin diet and rest are all down!

I hope he is under 5'10" at that weight.

Yes, its too much for a first cycle. Test only at 500 is about the number 1 recommended first cycle there is

What exactly are your friends goals? What are his specs, i.e. height, weight, etc...?

5'8" 180... about 10% bf... looking for gain alot of bulk over winter then take about 6 months off or so and do another bulk or a cut cycle depending on results of 1st... also wondering if 500mgs test e over 14 weeks give better results then 600mgs over 11?
