    Thinking about drinking a gallon of egg nog ED while on cycle

    Hey guys, I know this is more of a nutritional question, but I was wondering if I could get some feedback from experienced people.
    First of all I'm on my 8th week of my test e cycle and I want to try to kick the calories up a notch.
    I want to try to take advantage of these next 4 weeks before pct.
    I pretty much live off of tuna, protein shakes, oatmeal, mashed potatos.
    Sometimes I eat cheeseburgers, chicken and steak, but my tuna always gives me hard lean mass.
    Its hard to get a lot of calories from these foods so I had an idea to drink a gallon of egg nog through out the day ED.
    I think because I eat very clean, have a fast metabolism, and am very active, I believe the 6400 calories, and 160 g of protein is the missing link to bulk me up for my last 4 weeks of test.

    I love eggnog and think I can do it. Only for 4 weeks though. It has 704 g of sugar and 160 g of saturated fat which concerns me though. Does anyone know that if I do this the positive will out weigh the negative for my last 4 weeks?

    I dont know man - I guess if you love it, but maybe consider a weight gainer shake as an alternative. Its probably a better protein / carb ratio and less fat. Egg nog is LOADED with fats and sugars. Hey - you could always eat more tuna on whole wheat bread......( i know you didnt want to hear that!)

    Eggnog has a shitload of fat in it, but you can get the reduced fat eggnog which would be better, but won't taste as good.

    wayyyyyy too much fat and sugar...and all in the same serving. no good.

    not exactly a healthy choice in any way. i wouldn't even suggest drinking a gallon of regular milk a day.

    and if you want "experienced people" you should be asking the diet forum people. people who hang out in the diet forum tend to have a more solid grasp of nutrition than people who don't.

    In the event I need excess calories other then what I'm already consuming I've found that the following works for me...

    unflavored protein powder
    max muscle carbo max powder
    accelorade (endurance sport drink with protein)

    what I do is add in the appropriate amounts of the above mentioned items in either a gallon or half gallon jug, dillute the shit out of it so I can't taste barley anything and drink it throughout the day. Obvi, the gallon will be able to hold more of everything then the half gallon would.
    In a gallon I usually go with something like this...
    75-100g. protein powder
    8 scoops Max Muscle Carbo Max (228g. carbs)
    3 scoops Accelerade (63g carbs, 15g protein)
    Accelerade is really the only item in the mix that has a taste to it, and it dosen't tast all that bad with everything else in the mix. Give it a try. When I'm bulking I usually try to drink 2 serving of this concoction. It really helps when drinking it during your workouts.

    get the low sugar low fat kind. it still has alot of cals per serving, but will be alot easier on the bf%. try it, let us know how it works

    Thats funny!I know its a crazy idea, but for some reason I can drink that stuff so easily and I think a gallon through the day for 4 weeks wont hurt. Its going to run me some $$$ though. I think the low fat stuff is just as good as skim milk taste better than whole. I tryed something new also that I really like, and that putting a good amount of peanut butter and fat free hersheys syrup to my protein shakes. What a difference!

    You get like 1500 clean calories per shake.

    A gallon is ALOT of eggnog.

    No, not egg nog. Too much sugar plus you'll be farting all of the time.

    You just need to eat solid complex carbs and more protein from other sources. You need more red meat it sounds. Go to Costco or Sams and buy that family pack of top sirloin and eat a steak a day for dinnner + steak and eggs in the morning too.

    Yes, you can drink a gallon of eggnog a day and gain weight but anything gained will be purely fat and water. Your decision, or you a bodybuilder interested in gaining muscular bodyweight or more like a sumo wrestler just concerned with gaining weight.

    I don't think anyone could drink a gallon of nog and still be able to eat their 6-7 good sized meals a day. I would love for you to try it and tell us the results. I live in Philly and about 10 years ago the 76ers drafted a guy named Shawn Bradly, he was 7"7' and maybe 190lbs. If my memory is right the team hired Lee Haney as his personal trainer and nutritionist, he had him eating cheese cake after every meal. He gained some weight but not much.

    Thanks for the feedback. I knew it was way too much sugar and saturated fat, even though I eat hard to none of those two. I like Seattle junks idea better with the sirloin. I have to buy a Forman grill because cooking in the frying pan is a pain in the ass. How many of you guys have Forman grills? Just curious. And what do you mean by the bioavailability is f'd if an egg is raw??

    i use a foreman grill, it is a b**** to clean though. if you don't mind eating leftovers, cook up in the beginning of the week and just reheat your chicken, sirloin, fish, whatever. use some spices, the food can get dry, but watch the sodium in the spices.
