hydration
what role does hydration play in sore muscles? after taking 250mg injections of sust my muscles are incredibly sore for the next few days. i drink approx 1 gal of water a day and i am wondering if drinking more water will help to reduce the soreness?

water is needed for protein synthesis - don't believe it affects soreness - but a little more couldn't hurt especially if you do cardio and sweat alot - I try to get about a gallon and a half in addition to the 1/2 to one gallon of skim milk a day

soreness..NONE LOL thats just torn muscle tissue trying to heal
anyways as long as your properly hydrated everything will function properly and you do need MASSIVE AMOUNTS of water on a high protein diet to break apart the polypeptides and use the aminos as your body see's fit

water WILL affect DOMS and other tissue damage.
water intake is very important, but so is electrolyte balance. Lots of water with poor electrolyte balance (usually insufficient pottassium and magnesium, with excessive sodium) will negate much of the benefit of "adequate" water intake.
as a note- most americans are CHRONICALLY dehydrated.
