Gained 8 lbs First Week!!! Help?
I just finished the first week of my first cycle. 500mg Test Enan & 400mg Deca EW.
I weighed in at the beginning of the week at 159.5
I weighed out today at 167.5
Jesus.. I thought something was wrong, i emptied my pockets, took off my sweatpants and shoes, even my MP3 player, i was down to shorts and underarmour.
This is the same scale in the same spot in the same gym as when i first weighed in.
Is this possible? I gained 8 lbs?
Dont get me wrong, I want to gain a lot of LBM.. but this fast? I mean my diet is perfected and extremely better then it ever was before, and maybe my lifting techniques are a little sharper then before..but damn..
I have been eating like a madman, 400-440g protein p/day. 3000-4400 calories p/day for this week.
Give me your opinions on if this is a scale error or if its possible.

If this is your first cycle,this is very normal.

weigh urself as soon as u get up in morning...u may not see ur weight flucuate as much...i know from the time i wake up to the time i go to the gym im close to 5 pounds heavier....weigh urself in the morning once a week everyweek throughout ur cycle and u should see a gradual yet steady increase in weight...u should record ur weights too

I am recording my weight at the end of every week, I'm keeping a detailed log of this whole cycle. I will take your advice on weighing in the morning but can it really be off by that much

yeah it's possible... but with those 2 compounds it is most likely water.. they take 4 weeks or so to actually kick in..

yep...make sure weighing at the same time of the day. Mine can fluctuate like crazy.
Also, the gear hasn't kicked in yet bro. Not at one week. Maybe some water weight, but you are probably keeping your diet spot on.

I realize the juice hasnt kicked in yet, I mean i ''feel'' bigger (placebo effect) but i know im really not, not yet.
I suppose i will go to the gym in the morning to see if there is a change.

i also gain like 6-8 lbs the first 3-4 days of a cycle......

i have the nolva on hand, enough to run it the whole cycle if i have to, but not currently, im not going to use it until i have a reason to start it up

Probably water weight from all the extra cal. My wt usually fluctuates between 5-10 pounds through out the day

i don't notice any SOLID gains untill wk 9 or soo. it takes a while too build solid muscle. the wieght in the begining is simply water, that's all.

I had very similiar gaines as you my first cycle. I didn't eat that much protein though, thats way too much protein for your body weight. you could probably drop that down to about 250g a day and get the exact same results.

Thanks for the ''help'' slow~mo but my question was answered a few posts and a few days ago, good way to keep the thread going though. And going by the rule of thumb that you should eat 2g of protein p/lb. of body weight, that puts me at almost 350g of protein per day. And since im adjusting myself to a significantly higher calorie diet then i used to be on, id rather it be higher in protein than something like fats.. thanks for trying to 'look out for me' though
