First cycle in 4 years.
I took off 3 years from all lifting ( I did hit the weights about once a month during the last year of that time, but only 20+ rep sets) , just trained for boxing during that time, so I only did sparing, running, lunges, jumping rope...ect but no weights at all. So I have been back in the gym for 7 months now,
Some of my stats right now:
I'll be 38 in January
6'1 230 13% body fat,
bench is 335x8
Full Squats 365x10.....legs never were that strong.
Seated Db press 100x8,8,7,5
So I'm about 95% back to my natural best and was thinking of starting a cycle this January or Febuary.
1-10 Test 500mg ( 250mg 2x a week)
1-9 EQ 600mg ( 300mg 2x a week)
1-11 Nolvadex 10mg
PCT 14 days after last shot
week 1. 60mg Nolvadex
week 2. 40 mg Nol.
week 3. 40 mg Nol.
week 4. 20mg Nol.
My main Goal is to train for the 40 and over 242Lb or 275lb class Raw bench record in Arizona. So building up to around 550 Raw is my ultimate goal..

I would front load with dbol 50mg ed for the first 4 weeks to get things kicking!
Then as Marcus says run the test for 12 wks @500mg pw and drop the eq to 400mg pw and run for 10 wks,you could also throw in some prop at the end maybe wks 10-14.
Obviously nolva stright through followed by proper PCT

12 weeks is better than 10 unless your using a faster acting test!
clomid and nolva is better than just nolva,,,,always do proper pct!!

10 weeks is pleanty of time for a long easter cycle IMO and experiance....esp the first one in 4 years, but thanks for the advise.
I am curious as to why you think Nolva and Clomid are better together, I see no reason to use them together....
Clomid and Nolvadex
I am not sure how Clomid and Nolvadex became so separated in the minds of bodybuilders. They certainly should not be. Clomid and Nolvadex are both anti-estrogens belonging to the same group of triphenylethylene compounds. They are structurally related and specifically classified as selective estrogen receptor modulators (SERMs) with mixed agonistic and antagonistic properties. This means that in certain tissues they can block the effects of estrogen, by altering the binding capacity of the receptor, while in others they can act as actual estrogens, activating the receptor. In men, both of these drugs act as anti-estrogens in their capacity to oppose the negative feedback of estrogens on the hypothalamus and stimulate the heightened release of GnRH (Gonadotropin Releasing Hormone). LH output by the pituitary will be increased as a result, which in turn can increase the level of testosterone by the testes. Both drugs do this, but for some reason bodybuilders persist in thinking that Clomid is the only drug good at stimulating testosterone. What you will find with a little investigation however is that not only is Nolvadex useful for the same purpose, it should actually be the preferred agent of the two.
Studies conducted in the late 1970's at the University of Ghent in Belgium make clear the advantages of using Nolvadex instead of Clomid for increasing testosterone levels (1). Here, researchers looked the effects of Nolvadex and Clomid on the endocrine profiles of normal men, as well as those suffering from low sperm counts (oligospermia). For our purposes, the results of these drugs on hormonally normal men are obviously the most relevant. What was found, just in the early parts of the study, was quite enlightening. Nolvadex, used for 10 days at a dosage of 20mg daily, increased serum testosterone levels to 142% of baseline, which was on par with the effect of 150mg of Clomid daily for the same duration (the testosterone increase was slightly, but not significantly, better for Clomid). We must remember though that this is the effect of three 50mg tablets of Clomid. With the price of both a 50mg Clomid and 20mg Nolvadex typically very similar, we are already seeing a cost vs. results discrepancy forming that strongly favors the Nolvadex side.

in my expierience i would follow wat marcus and large have stated mate, and personally i would extend the cycle to incorporate the eq for 12 weeks,as for me and others the eq does not take "full" effect till week 8 so imo should be ran longer.

Just interested in others opinions especially those who have done many cycles like yourself.
From 1996-2002 I did about 18 cycles so I am somewhat opinionated on the subject but I always love to hear well thought out opinions on this and other topics from people with some book smarts and lots of experiance....best way for me to learn more. Again thank you for your comments.

We should all remember that when de****g in compounds in the body there are NO SET RULES, and what works for one may not work for the other, best bet is to gather different opinions and work out what might be better for you and not what it says on paper,,,,good luck
