Why did blood come out when I aspirated?

I injected into quad yesterday. Got the needle in with no problems, and aspirated. When I aspirated I had no blood come into the needle. Once I finished injection and pulled out, blood went squirting everywhere. If I was in a vein, why didn't blood come through the needle when I aspirated?

You probably just nicked a vein, happens a lot.

this isnt nothing to worry about. It happens to me all the time. As long as there was definitly no blood when you aspirated then you wil be fine.

At the end of the day, you did just stick a needle in urself.

Wow, really? i think i nick one like almost everytime i shoot my delts. never blood when i aspirate but no matter what head i shoot there is always blood when i pull out -- never when i shoot the glutes tho

Same thing happened to me while shooting my quad in a rush for work. Everything was normal until i pulled it out and my whole thigh was like a supersoaker of blood. lol. I freaked out!

just tape a tampon where your bleeding....wait maybe it should be called a manpon???
