    Injecting too fast

I have always used 25 gauge needles which took some time to inject since it was so thin, Usually about 30 seconds for 1.5 cc's. Well, tonight I decided to switch to 23 guage needles to make it easier for my wife.

Well, it was real easy for her to do. It only took like 15 seconds 1.5 cc's. I told her to go slow, but.... So what should I expect from it injecting so fast? More soreness? Any other drawbacks?

Maybe, maybe not. If it's sore, slow down some. NO biggy.

Yeah, she needs to get used to the new size. The 25 guage slowed her down, but I know it was hard for her hands to push. The injection site is fine so far. It's been a few hours. A little sore but nothing major. Going to fast can cause an abcess then? Don't want that.

Usually an abscess forms when u go too fast, or by not going deep enough, anyway, u said it took 15 sec, no big deal.
    Were u injecting in glutes?

Yes, in the glutes using an 1 1/2 pin. It feels fine today. Hardly any soreness if any at all.

You have a good point, Snax. Also, it is a plus not having that needle stuck in me any longer than needed.
