Depends how you use it, for how long and with what. Most women I know rebound and with more then they lost and it actually shut down my thyroid to 0.01 after only 3 mos on...

I used it before for 6 weeks and this didn't happen but this time it sure did.

I can see using it to cut for a show, but if not a show or a low dose for GH, I don't see a point in using it with the risk of shutting down your thyroid, burning muscle if your diet isn't right and rebound after your cycle... it's up to you. All I ask is you read up on it yourself and don't just rely on profiles written by others. I am now treating with a dr. and going to a specialist to make sure it gets fixed the right way. It's been on heck of a battle these past few months with my weight though, trying not to get "too big" due to no thyroid function.

Did you take glandulars, coleus forskolli, thyroid support(kelp iodine and other vitamins and herbs) - to help with thyroid recovery? I believe one should do a thyroid pct of a sort.

    Multi-vitamin/mineral
    coleus forskolli
    bacopa
    L-tyrosine
    gugulipids

I am adding kelp now (just ordered it) and selenium. I will have bloodwork done again a week from friday (which is almost exactly 3 mos. post-cycle) to see where I am and I see the specialist on 1/11/06. My primary said it doesn't get any lower then it was, completely shutdown..

I knew it because I started putting on size fast (I was out of the gym 6-8 weeks too because I got real sick from mold)... My arms are about 14" right now, I just started lifting real heavy since I had the size and even with 5-6 days of cardio a week couldn't drop weight. We'll see, but I'll never touch the stuff again.

3 Months shut down is bad, I hope you do not have to take it the rest of your life. I thought the thyroid bounced back... in my experience and reading others. Sorry you have gone through this.

Yes it is... I thought the same from what I had heard but I want people to realize that is not always the case....

Thanks, it sucks, but that is why I'm not messing around anymore and going to see a thyroid specialist. I had a dr. all along doing bloodwork but whenever I see a problem this serious I always consult a specialist.

T3 is not worth it IMO unless you need it to compete, etc. It's just not worth the risk and the rebound most people have after they go off....

I know there are studies that say people take it 30 years and are ok in 2-3 mos... well, I only took it 3 mos and I'm not ok, so obviously that's not the case all the time.

I just want people to know the bad with the good

I agree with Jersey, be very careful and get a doc to do some blood workto rule out any predisposition for thyroid dysfunction. I have Graves Disease and believe me, too much or too little thyroid hormone is a bitch to deal with.

Graves disease is a disease where your immune system over-stimulates the thyroid causing hypothyroidism (a friend has it)..It's basically and over-active thyroid.

    Jerzey,

I was so sad to read about your problem with the thyroid meds. Hadn't seen your posts here for a while and thought something must be up.
Do whatever your doctor says, whatever it takes, to get yourself healthy again.

You're a very attractive and athletic woman, even without AAS. Don't go kill yourself just to build a body to impress jerks who don't even care about you as a real person. It's a trap that's too easy for all of us to fall into.

    Thinking of you,

I read, but don't post here because someone asked me not to and honestly, I don't want the b.s. in my life, you know?

My boyfriend has talked me into seeing a specialist and not trying any more theories on fixing my problem and I have to say, he is right. I should have done this 2 months ago when it didn't go back a month or so after my cycle.

You are awesome, I miss you, I'm at BB4L again and a few other boards, maybe I'll see you there. Thanks for your concern, very thoughtful

    Respectfully,

    Jerzey

I have talked to him many times and have known him for a while now...so I wouldn't think it is out there for him to ask after I disappeared for a while.... and he knew I was having issues from my last cycle from BB4L.

    Well....after all that.

I will be competeing for the first time - but I do not know if I will need the t-3

Looking at mikexxl comp. cycle - he was using 100mcg 5 days on 2 days off.

I am 28 yrs old. My mother has taken thyroid meds most of her life.

Not sure at all on what I should do. Jerzey - you have me a little scared.

I've used cynomel @ 100 mcgs and didn't like it. I wouldn't trust generic stuff again for an area as delicate as my thyroid.

I got better results on just 25 mcgs of Pharmacy grade cytomel . (thanks again Meso)

I used that.. while cutting this year for comp.

How do you plan on incorporating t3 into your contest prep cycle?

I doubt I will use res. chem. t3 again... dosing is fairly inaccurate IMO, and the hormone is quite fragile in that state as well...

Check my thread in the competition forum, please. I did not gey much response when asking for advise.

I am not sure when to start or stop this compound. I am currently 12-13% bf 5'10" 192 this morning. I think I will need to loose 20 pounds by april 10. My contest diet will start Jan 1.

I thought cynomel was pharmacy grade. Mex Pharnacy.

Yes it's pharm grade... but the complaint in regards to Mex stuff is that the the production protocol isn't as stringent as US stuff is.. i.e. it's labelled as generic at best.

Gonna check out your thread now

not really news. there actually was a thread on HCG , Lutropin, LHR and TRH a couple of weeks ago. HCG stimulates TRH via the LHR. TRH stimulates TSH and prolactin production. The latter is the concern.

IMO HCG should never be used without an AI and a dopaminergic (cabergoline preferably).

the article was written more than a few weeks ago. i dont think i was proclaiming it as "breaking news" A thread and an article are two different things.

not really. though you can choose to believe that if you wish.

though will note that the "article" failed to touch on the prolactin and oestrogen issues that arise from HCG use. Kind of important issues.

and sadly the article does not even touch on the actual mechanism of action. which was delineated in 1 sentence in the post above. Its mostly fluff and banter about the incompetence of physicians (though you wont get disagreement of that issue)
