I was injecting into my thigh and after i stuck it in i realized that i forgot to wipe the area before i stuck it in. After i pulled out i thouroughly wiped with alcohol swabs. Is this really bad?

did you use the same pin that u pulled out???
i injected before i pulled it out, i figured its already in there might as well.
You should be fine, just watch the area for infection if your worried.
you will know in the next few days. but for the most part you should be ok.
its more important that your pin is sterile then your skin,your fine,relax.
yeah pin is super sterile, i use a different pin to inject than i do to draw
your probablly fine...theres worse things in life...just try not to do it again...

not the smatest but I have done it.
I used to do it all the time. Nothing ever happened to me. My friend did get a wierd rash once. Thats all i ever heard about. The doctor gave him some pills to take for like a week or two.
its not a big deal at all give ur bodies defense system a little more credit than that .
The chances of getting an infection from not sterilizing the site is VERY slim. Like a 1 in a 100 if that. A dirty needle is another story of if you're just flat out a filthy dirty person.
Actually I have read from someone who did a bacteria culture with 90% ethanol, that alcohol did very little in the way of killing any bacteria and that Hydrogen Peroxide was far superior. Strange I know considering just about everyone docs etc... Use alcohol swabs.
I have done thousands of injections and have never cleaned the area with alcohol swabs once and i have not had a problem, dont panic IMO it is not even neccesary.
