Hey man we are all bros here. even when we dont agree with eachother.
As far as 500mg of test goes here is my personal experience with test.
I did 250mg of test for 12 weeks my first cycle and gained 35lbs off of it. And im 6"5. taking more then 500mg on that cycle to me would be pointless. he wont get any better results and he will waste money. Besides the fact that the first cycle is very important to guage your tolarance, work on your eating habbits, deal with Acne, bloating, sleep ect. You dont want to go to far. I dont think the number is so much what we are talking about here. I mean even it you had said 550mg we would be talking about the same thing here. Its that 500 is tried and true. Mud has been around along time. And i know Seatown has too, and Mikey knows his shit up and down. And i have a bit of ecperience in this as well. And we are all telling you the same thing.
I am TOTALY in agreement with you that diffrent things work for diffrent people. But when you first start consistancy and a set tried cycle that is safe is the way to go bro.

My own opinion... 500 mg of test per week for a first timer is perfect. Though I would add 50 mg per day of Dbol for the first four weeks.
