Stuff like this bothers me because it makes the Feds want to crack down on it harder.....the public opinion of steroids is pretty much the only reason why they go after it now anyway, I bet money they would rather be stopping some meth lab's production than busting a father of three who is preparing for his upcoming bodybuilding show.

I hate how the media glorifies the cases of a KID using steroids and, and some stupid combo like deca and drol, not knowing what he is doing and he ends up really messing himself up bad. They have to realize that this is only happening to 1 percent...if that...of all steroid users, who are all pretty muck teens. Instead of bashing steroids they should reveal how this kid had no idea what or how to take what he was taking. I feel it would be a better segment if they show how this kid was a fu@king idiot for taking steroids at his age and not know what he was putting into his body. Just my 2 cents

Yet again, a nonrepresentative spokesperson (albeit posthumously) for AAS use. They didn't say what he used, but they did show deca and anadrol . His psychiatrist made the "obvious" and "clear" link that AAS played a role is his suicide and backed it with...........wait, she didn't back it up with anything.
he was a 17 yr old kid that had no business using AAS. Independent of his age, he was someone completely uneducated in the proper use of AAS, which itself is a reason for him to not be using.

There is absolutely nothing that the government can keep from people....demand always creates supply. Education (truth) is what needs to be disseminated; not this completely unfounded, biased misinformation that makes the medical professionals speaking against AAS look like fools. If the cycle implied really was that kids cycle, then he was a prolactin factory....inhibition of dopaminergic effects would be rampant. i guess I'm contradicting myself in saying that the AAS he used actually could (and probably did) contribute to his depression, but I'll go one step further and say it was his lack of education on the subject that was the major contributor.

I'm not sure if everyone appreciates just how valuable these boards are. We all see that kids cycle and roll our eyes....we know better....he didn't. What's the only difference between him and us (besides a pulse)? education....we know better..

So, the government can keep preaching the "steroids will kill you" and the media can follow along with the same crap, but kids are too smart for that. They know pro athletes use AAS, and how many pro athletes die? AAS will always be available.....let's not fool ourselves. Educated, proper use of AAS is relatively safe....certainly moreso than cigarettes and alcohol use and even more so than a fast-food-oriented diet. The paradox here is....we're using these "deadly" compounds, but what other demographic is this meticulous about their health? Vitamins, monitoring BP, cholesterol, blood sugar, making sure we get proper rest and water intake, etc

The TV station I work at is currently running a steroid series, but fear not one part of the special includes and interview with me about the benefits of AAS. I can't wait til it runs to hear the feedback from people after hearing me advocate the use of AAS. It should be very very interesting to say the least.

No pressure or anything, but you better represent us well
Be very clear on the fact that you want to see the final piece before it plays....don't allow them to take your words out of context in a way that compromises the intent of what your say.

The big thing that jumps out at me is his PSYCHIATRIST! The guy was obviously in seroius trouble before he started, AS is the convenient culprit. Besides the Doc didn't want to seem inept or get sued I'm sure. "It's not my fault it was the AS!"

How long was this kid seeing someone before and after AS use? I didn't see the "special".

I kinda blame the parent's for not recognizing that he had problems that were more
serious than just your average teenager problems, teen suicide is skyrocketing
these days due to lifes and peer and societal pressures, some don't know how to
deal with it. The kids use of AS and no PCT helped his predisposed problems to possibly
manifest themselves more aggressively, but I don't believe for a second that they
were the cause, if the parent's had been a lot more observing of their own child, he
would probably still be around. Just my opinion.

Actually I think they try to villify it because, seems actually law enforcement looks at steroids as a truely victumless crime with penalties too high for what its worth.... anyways I always see this city cop at my gym, works out around the same time... and I commented about all the acne on his shoulders once and that he "must be on the juice".... well the cop confided he had done them before... in the conversation, he went on to say, a cop might see a marijuana, cocaine, crystal meth case or arrest several times a week but MOST cops out there have NEVER run into steroids. Many wouldnt recognize it if they did see them, but so many cops can spend their entire careers and NEVER run into a steroid possession thing that often when one does... they tend to view steroids as such a minor thing, they just confiscate, throw away and let you go free. A lot of cops will do the same with small amounts of marijuana and same goes with steroids. When you compare ALL drug use, including forged prescriptions for xanax, etc, steroids is the bottom of the list, fewer people do them then any other substances. Its all greatly exaggerated and overblown.
