lipoic = antioxidant (recognized for its ability to transport glucose)
So does this mean its the wrong shit?

Unless they use the acronym ALA to suit multiple products, I would say it's the right one.Quote:

So are They both the same thing?
Or is one perfered over the other?
I really have limited knowledge on lipoic, my source of information is simply an article published in Life Enhancement a while back. ALA (Linolenic) is pretty important in an athletes diet IMO, in which the body doesn't naturally produce certain essential fatty acids.Quote:

So linolenic is essential for a athelete,
but the lipoic is a antioxidant, So if your using the ala for protecting
your liver wouldnt you want to use the antioxidant?
I really don't know how much concrete evidence out there supports APA preventing liver toxicity. One thing I can establish is that an omega 3 fatty acid will have little to do with liver protection, so the one you are thinking of is most likely lipoic. Taking it should increase insulin sensitivity which will eventually deplete liver glycogen.Quote:

If you want the liver protector, you want Alpha lipoic acid, so it sounds like you have the wrong one. And yes Alpha Lipoic acid has been shown to remove toxins from the system including the liver very effectively. Much better that milk thistle.Quote:

Alpha lipoic acid can also aid in fat loss when on a keto diet. Many report increased vascularity while using it also. For the best prices and service on Alpha lipoic acid go to www.anabolical.com . For liver protection usage ranges from between 600-1000 mg/ day.
Thanks for the help bros!
