MTV truelife = BAD NEWS FOR ALL OF US!!

I just saw the commercial, it deals with one person who died from steroid use , and one person who claims to be ADDICTED to AAS, and wishes he never started.. HERE WE GO AGAIN...
I would love to see a 1 hour special on a 60 minutes or dateline about steroid use. One of those round table type things. Where you bring in a few doctors to get the REAL medical side, then ahve a group of about 15 males, some who use, some who dont.. And talk about how it had effected them,Pro/con, and get the REAL story out there, im not saying somethig that glorifies it, but gets the truth out, the GOOD and the bad, HBO did a pretty good job

it's doesn't mean addicted as addicted to drugs, it's the psycological addiction of it, that a person would NEED steroid to be satisfied with certain amout of gains.

smokethedays is exactly right. he is addicted to the way he feels and the way he looks on the gear. not necisarily the drug itself.

Lets have a special with some of us, I for one have a great job and home, I have never had any problems with the law, I have actually worked in law enforcement. So yeah I guess the only problem I can see is that some dumbass politicians have made me a criminal for trying to bring my physique to a higher level, Man since i'm a criminal and an addict I think I should go rob a bank or something, Give me a F@#^in break, The only thing we need to do is weed out this gene pool of government officials..... Remember the STRONG will inherit the earth....Later Brothers.............

I understand this. Still, it is INCORRECT to use the term "ADDICTED" to describe it. What you're talking about it "Habituation". Similar, but not exact in the sense that the line drawn between addiction and habituation is one where an actual "ADDICTION" is beyond a persons voluntary control, and habituation is not. Now since there are NO physiologically, or psychologically addictive substances in the make-up of ANY AAS, It's an impossibiltiy for one to become "ADDICTED" to the substance. This behavior described by WEBBNB, smokethedays, and machdiesel is that of habituation, NOT addiction. The term is being used incorrectly out of it's intended text by an under educated person on MTV. Which will do one thing...in the eyes of every other under educated (in terms of AAS) person out there...it will only make the substaces that we embrace, only appear more heinous and manipulative than they actually are...in turn raising the concern of the opposing agencies/organizations even more. I'm not trying to flame anyone by supporting my case, I'm simply trying to illustrate how using a word as powerful as "ADDICTION" when referring to a substance, ESPECAILLY one already of great contoversy like AAS, can and will be detrimental, especially when spoken out PUBLICLY through a media as powerful and as readily abundant as television. In my opinion it is a term that should never be used in conjunction with or around the description of AAS, and users of the word should be fully aware of it's actual meaning before suggesting that they are "Addicted to working out", or "addicted to the way they look" because of steroids , and the term should most certainly not be supported by ANYONE on this site.
    Peace,

I believe his point was that it's so one sided without a voice from the pro view? Stupid media brain wash shit. All this stuff does is make kids want to use it more cause they see that it works. C'mon, when you're young you think you're invincible. They see the yolked kid getting all the chicks and they want to get laid too.

I saw the commercial for the show. My wife was watching and looked over, with a guess a kind of puzzled look. She said "how come the rest of the world, or those who aren't on your messages boards, think of juice as a bad idea? How come you don't do to many more dumb things when you are on cycle as opposed to when you are off?" She added, "in 9 years you have done some dumb things and I can't put any blame on any of the things that you take"!

Remember, there are users and abusers!!!!!!!

Also I saw the tombstone for the kid the died(steroids killed my son) he was only 22 years old! One of his friends said he was an expert on juice and knew exactly what he was doing. I for one, am way older than 22 and I learn something new about juice everyday!!!!!!!

yup..general public doenst know shit. I just talked to one of my friends and he started talking about them so I like him talk just to kind of laugh inside. He said once you stop taking steroids they stay in your body for 3 days for a drug test. I told him which particular steroids do that and he said anabolic and I was like..no what steroid and he goes anabolic ones and horse ones. I couldn't hold it back any longer I just burst out laughing. Shows what people THINK they know.

yeah this will be an interesting watch....hopefully I can get it somewhere as I am in Canada and don't get MTV....anyways with the kid who died of steroid use ? like cmon....they will say that like he died of some heart failure, etc that was brought on by roids...but like you could take tylenol and that could bring on a condition which could cause one to die

it will just be an emphasis on the negatives and then more propaganda, etc....oh yeah worst case with something liek this was a few years back with the kid who was like 20 and a baseball player who killed himself and his father went to Congress with the story....They found out after he died that he was taking steroids so right away the finger was pointed at juice.....yet they failed to disclose that all his life he had severe depression, had been diagnosed with bipolar, had trouble with alcohol and drugs and behavioural problems....hmmmmmmmm

Clenbuterol is getting a lot of press right now because recently many top supermodels have used it and some have experienced bad side effects and are talking about it on camera to E! News.

I hope it shows the negatives and makes steroids look bad. Cause the majority of viewers that watch MTV are young teens that are retarded and don't have enough knowledge on how to use gear properly and to young to be using in the first place.
Scare the kids MTV please... (seriously...)

I'm sure it will be the typical "steroids kill you" type of piece, although those real life shows tend to be pretty well balanced. Only thing is, everybody wants ratings and the story that you can use steroids responsibly for limited periods of time in physiques that have reached their genetic limit isn't a very interesting story. Parent's crying at grave sites about how their son was "perfect" until those evil steroids came along is a great story and get's viewers. One thing I did notice from the promo was some sweaty idiot jamming a needle into his unclean, sweaty deltoid while sitting in the middle of the gym. The portrayals seemed like total idiots, and the truth is that any serious bodybuilder would probably not even expose themselves like this(how many times has Lee Priest said he it totally natural?) The piece seems ridiculous. Nothing new, been going on since the early 80's and the DEATH IN THE LOCKERROOM article in Sports Illustrated. OOOOOOO...spooky.

Hey guys im just gonna go on a rant here for a minute so just bare with me..... I think this is ****ing bullshit how there going to depict steroids in this show.... everyone thinks its like heroin becuase a few peoples deaths may or may not be linked to the ABUSE of steroids!!! Even though, in my opinion, why dont we focus on something really bad like legal alcohol!!! To make a long story short, i lost my job as a bouncer because i became so intoxicated at work i blacked out Its normal for people working to drink because its a nite club! I hardey drink liqour so when i was served about 7 free long island iceteas iwas gone to say the least! I did so much dumbshit that night b4 they had to detain me and lock me up at work! I wasnt charged with anything and noone got hurt...... I thank God everyday that those few hours of weakness didnt ruin my life forever!!! But the funny thing is im like a celbrity because of this lol! Everyone knows me cuz of all the goofy shit i was doing that night.....friends family they all laugh and chalk it up to a learning expericne..... I honestly reflect on it everyday as the night that could of easily ruined the rest of my life if i did something like drive a car...... There is a direct alcohol related death every 1/2 hour in this country!!!!! My dad is 45 and killing himself with cigarettes that he is ADDICTED to and CANT quit..... why dont we focus on the real ****ing problems in this country......

I don't agree that it is stupid media, alot of people can't handle this, and if media can scare away 80% of the people by saying all this then it's a win situation. If we look at the world and see all 6 billion people, how many do you actually think is juicing? It's a fart in the universe man and I like it that way, I want to see different people when I go outside.

And for the chick side, there is equal that likes muscles and just as many that likes thin guys who look like skaters. So it's because your selfesteem got higher doing cycle's, and when the babe get's attracted to you (Selfesteem that is) you all think it's the damn juiced muscles the girls like. I think that is a pathetic view and I don't believe it to be like that one bit.

Take a look at him in his glory day, he would have crushed all of us in here with his looks and charisma. I don't see a bit of muscles on that guy, still he looks awesome, we are all different and some just don't look good with muscles. Even his style of clothes and character does not go with muscles, stop be so damn sterotyped in your thinkings.

I like myself with muscles, but most of the chicks around me have said, don't train to much, it just looks bad. So we are seeing different chicks, and I like girls that like me, no matter how I look, and not those who can't stand a guy without arms of 24 inches.

It puts alot of pressure on your personality to always perform for others, to never rest and always feel that this house of cards will fall to pieces. Train and have fun, but the one who says in here he is in total balance and are happy all the time training 6 times a week and never missing a meal is a goddamn liar. It is very emotional stuff, and it takes so much time that other qualitys in your personality gets slacked behind.

You could say I am against it, but the world looks the way it looks so I am for it, but not for all to ruin their life. I can sometimes envy people who are just normal, not thinking of all this shit all the time and can eat shit food and just laugh. We are constantly chasing the perfect food, the perfect exercise and rest.

Well, there you have somethings I feel about it and some may be pissed to hear it, but I know there is truth in it, otherwise I would not have said it.

I will start juicing tonight, and maybe I don't give a f.uck about myself, but I will always try to protect the people around me. It is the right thing to do, drug addicts love to snare other to their misery to not feel alone. I think the same thing is happening in this category, people are just so damn afraid to be alone in their pain, and out of that grows dishonesty and someone who does not really love you. I have meet all kind, and it feels very uncomfortable to be around people who don't give a shit about your wellbeing at all.
