Can test cause enlarged prostrate

I piss constantly, but I've put this down to creatine and 1.5 gallons of water a day. However, it's made me a bit paranoid - I'm concerned about prostrate problems roids can cause. Can somebody advise me what the relation between roids and prostrate are? I've gathered it may enlarge the prostrate, but is this temporary?

I've searched but only come up with a few threads which refer to it, but don't explain it.

i dont think you should have anything to worry about at that low of a dose. but i am not an expert on this type of stuff. i will look for more info and post it for you.

from what i see, if you have a tumor in your prostate steroids might promote growth. i dont think there is an overall danger to you prostate. but everyone is different, i would get checked by your doctor to see the health of your prostate.

How old are you. ? I have an enlarged prostate and I can answer a lot of your questions ? If you arnt over 40 then it is highly unlikely that your prostate is enlarged

Why not go get it checked? I don't think any doc will tell you no... in fact, they would be happy to see a young man so interested in his prostate

BTW - yes, AAS use can cause an enlarged prostate... this is something you should have been aware of prior to even injecting anything... lots of literature on the subject...

Yes, but people under 40 can still get prostatis--an inflammation of the prostate. The prostate is actually highly suseptible to bacterial infection. You will need to see a urologist to get diagnosed. A good indicator of prostate trouble is getting up at night to urinate, esp 2 or more times. Also, blood in the urine or semen should immediately raise concern. Do you have those problems?

I get up 3/4 times a night, but I take my multivits and a litre of water right before bed, so I have always attributed it to this.

Dutasteride can help with enlarged prostate. I would look into it.

DHT can affect the prostate as well, making it larger. This swelling can cause the gland to press against the bladder causing urinary problems. Drugs called 5alpha-reductase inhibitors can prevent these symptoms without blocking testosterone ’s anabolic effects. Higher dosages of test can also negatively impact cholesterol, lowering HDL. Testosterone is probably the safest steroid around, but it can’t be taken lightly.

Taking DutaSteride will help protect the Prostate as well as the Hair line

however the half life is 5 weeks, so it takes time to build

Yes dutasteride is usually prescribed for at least 6 months time. WelshWarrior, I would recommend you seeing a urologist just to be safe and get everything checked out if you are peeing 3-4 times a night. I used to do the same thing and decided to go to a urologist gave me an antibiotic, selective alpha blocker to relax the prostate, and got an appointment at the hospital to get checked out. (the reason for the hospital visit was because an enlarged prostate can back up urine into the kidneys, which is highly toxic to them, and to make sure the bladder was fully emptying). My symptoms greatly improved. PM me if you need more help or are curious as to other problems i had.

DHT can cause enlarged prostate, and test converts to DHT. Take saw palmetto, it does help.
