I just took my first injc of test e at 500 on Weds. My butt and leg are killing me. Is this normal?

Yes. Especially depending on what brand of test e you used. For example, I used Animal power test e 250 2ccs into my left delt and couldn't lift my arm laterally for a day. What would concern me about your situation is if both your leg and butt are in pain if you injected in only one site, say your butt for instance.

Try injecting very slowly, this usually helps to smooth it out.

yeah, after a while you won't even feel it.
heat it up first and inject slowly, about 45-60secs per cc
massage for a min or so and you should be fine

when i did my first sustanon wow! the pain started and worked its way from my quad and seems like it was going to explode at the knee. after 4 days it was fine I was worried to. a few more injections and it was more tolerable
