Police Steroid Testing

I am starting the applications process right now, and the 7th step is a medical exam and drug test. I have never used any drugs besides steroids , but what are the chances that they would test for steroids (in particular Test E, D-bol, Clen , Nolva, Clomid and possibly Tren in the future)? The lie detector won't be a problem for me so I'm just worried about the drug test right now. Thanks

I know quite a few cops and state and federal Co's and they've never
been tested for steroids and I know them from 3 different states, not
just one...

I'd say unless your state passed some new law regarding that you should
be fine...

i wouldnt worry about the Drug test you need to get past the back ground check and LD test first.
The back ground check is insane man.. they call the strangest people.. like some asshole you worked with six years ago but never said a word too.

I gotta say, that worries me that you can say with a smile that you have the lie detector "under control." You just that smooth, ran the before and think you can beat them, or what?

I got denied from the police dept because of steroid use . They said it is ok if you have used them, but because I gave some to a buddy of mine, that was considered "distribution", and I don't think I could pass a lie detector test. So watch out for that.

Should be fine. I don't belive most places test for gear, but they may ask in the poly test. Try to come up with some sort of excuse just incase... and you'll be golden.

You should be fine. I think they are more worried about hibitual drug users. I have taken the test twice so far and have passed every party but just haven't been called back. The polygraph is the only thing that you should worry about but there are ways around it

yes that exactly what i said. going into a profession where your loyalty and integrity are challenged everyday. any career in the public eye that requires professionalism, dicipline, self-control and being able to cover your actions when on the stand, being proded by high dollar lawyers, no it is not wise at all.

why do you think they hire straight edge kids nowadays? because officers credibility is always-ALWAYS-the first to be tried. and 99% of an officers rep will get the case thrown out or let it stand.

so obviously when i say, if you have alot to lie about, the poly might not catch it but the background officer will. the more you lie the more lies you have to make to cover those lies. wheres the integrity in that?

no department wants a liability on the job, it COST them money, majorly. not to mention the money spent to put someone behind bars, but is thrown out due to past history of the dept, officer, reports etc.

sure its not illegal to lie on the test. its not a matter of that, its a matter of what the profession entails.
