Opinion of best training protocol when on a cycle

    Hey all,

Im just about finishing up gathering up all my gear for my first cycle.

IVe been tossing around ideas of how to structure my workout program to get the bes tout of my cycle. Normally, Im a HIT kinda guy. But HIT has a life of about 3 months before my gains plataeu (sp). The last few weeks, Ive switched to more tradional training. 4-5 basic compound exercises per body part, 3 heavy sets per exercise, each body part done once a week on a 1on/1off split. THis has worked very well (probably due to the fac that its somethign completely different from HIT).

Im probably gonna stick to this schedule for another 3 weeks (I was forced to take a vacation from training this week, thanks to a ccase of the measels). At that point, Im going to start my cycle.

It makes sense that the gear would enhance my recovery ability and thus I think a more volumous or frequent work out schedule would be best.

Right now Im pretty much down to the following choices :
    1. Stick to the program Im doing now or
    2. Do something similar but withe MT-THF scheme working each body part twice a week.

Whats your guys thoughts on this? What have your experiances been?

I wouldn't recommend a HIT style workout while on the juice, you'll miss most of the gains. Volume is KING when on the juice.

work out 4 times a week (I do 6 workouts a week) and do one bodypart per day.

this is how i train while on:

i workout 5x a week 1 bodypart per session, except for arms.
    saturday-chest 4 exersises going 12,10,10,failure
sunday-legs 6 exersises same rep range
    monday-back 4 exercises " " "
    tuesday- off
wednesday-arms 4 exercises for bis, 4 exercises for tris, same rep range
thursday- shoulders and traps 6 exercises, same rep range
    friday -off
keeping the volume high is the key. the heavier weight should come, especially if your on cycle. i start looking for progress weight wise about 4-6 weeks in and i stay on this split for about 4 weeks after my cycle is over. then im looking to change it up some.

I use HIT even when im on. I just incease the volume and frequency a little bit to match my recovery abilities.

THanks guys, thats pretty much what I figuered.

It makes perfect sense to up either the volume or frequency since you do have so much more recovery ability to work with.!
