i currently run 5 days on weekends off.....was looking to change it...see what you guys do... thanks....
3-on, 1-off seems to be most popular. I like to do 5-on, 2-off just because it suits my time better. I don't think it makes such a huge difference. I try to work out each body part 1-2 times a week.
5 on weekends off for me 2, i devote my weekends to my woman and my son.
I work out five one two off. Once in awhile I'll take 3 off just to give my body some more rest but for the most part 5 days on!
I assume you mean during a bulking cycle. Here's my current split:
Day 1 - Chest, Triceps
Day 2 - Legs, Abs
Day 3 - Off
Day 4 - Back, Biceps
Day 5 - Off
Day 6 - Shoulders, Abs
Day 7 - Off
hey what about those of us that are the non-body bulding types... I know that there are significant differences in how an Athlete trains for his sport than a body builder (I do think body builders are athletes I just couldnt find a way to make a distinction between the two....) While on
AS is it cool to do the same powerlifting shit back to back days since it hits all the major muscles at once???? Any input would be great.... I would ask my powerlifting coach but telling him Im on shit is not an option.... thanks
Tex
I'm doing this :5 dayson/2 days off
-day 1:chest,calves
-day 2:shoulders,abs
-day 3:back
-day 4:bi,tri,calves
-day 5:legs
Chillin on day 6 and 7!!
thanks for the responses.....keep it going.....bump
Mon: legs/bis/calves
wed: chest/tris/abs
fri: back/shoulders/neck
Low volume, 2-4 working sets per muscle
dq
i usually do....
day 1: chest
day 2: shoulders
day 3: legs
day 4: off
day 5: back
day 6: bis and tris
day 7: off
i do cardio about 4 times a week and abs every 3 days
My Split looks like this
Day 1 - Back and Tri's
Day 2 - Shoulders, Forearms, lower back
Day 3 - Abs (upper and lower)
Day 4 - Off
Day 5 - Chest and Bi's
Day 6 - Legs and Abs (obliques, too)
Day 7 - Off
I think this split gives you enough space to rest for each bodypart, been on it for about a year and love it !
Sometimes I will go a sixth day and do cardio, & stretch
Cardio about 3 times a week usually on the lighter days like abs
I try to get some hip flexor stuff in there too.
I do a 5 days on 2 off for about 6-8 weeks and then start a 3 day split one day off then repeat that for 6-8 weeks....then back to the 5 days on and so on....i like it cause the workouts don't get so boring after a while and it shocks the hell out of my muscle. In fact almost every time i switch i gain some strength or mass.
Mon - Fri = as Heavy as possible
Sat - Sun = devoted to the woman
mon=legs
tue=chest and biceps
wed=off
thu=back and tris
fri=shoulders and traps
sat=off
sun=off
its took me eight years to find a split that works for me so i stick to it on and off the juice:lift:
2 days on; 1 day off; cardio 4 times a week
Mon - Chest
Tues - Quads, Hams
Wed - Back, Calves
Thurs - Shoulders
Fri - Arms
Lets see for me:
Day 1: Chest
Day 2: Bicepts/tricepts
Day 3: Legs
Day 4: Shoulders
Day 5: Back
But i usually miss a day or tow in the week and end up workingout on the weekends.
weekendws are usuallly devoted to my couch. lol i also wanted to ask why some of you guys work like chest and cavs or omehting on one day.? Yah know like is there a certain reason? liek i thgout you would work chest and tri's then back and bi's. Yah know cause htey work the same muscle groups. Or is that just the way you plan your work outs to get the maximum effort from each muscle??
thanks
Yea right... you meant right forearm every night. :lol:Quote:
