Just wandering the best way to go about getting your natural levels tested? Do you have to go to your doctor? How much does it cost?

If not in Houston, you will need to do a search and find out if your city has a lab like this one. Otherwise its to the doctor you must go!

You can go to your doctor and ask for the test. If you have insurance, you'll only have a co-pay which is usually $10 - $25.

If you don't have insurance, then you can go to a clinic. Just make sure you tell them exactly what you want tested else they might send you for a multitude of tests that could run above $1,000.

If you do a web search for Quest Diagnostics, you migt be able to find a phone number, call them and ask exactly how much a test runs (Quest Diagnostics is a lab used by many private practices/hospitals and clinics).

Yes, I'm talking about a blood test.

It depends on whether or not you go to the lab to have the blood drawn. If you go to the lab, they usually have it back to you the next business day (if you go the morning before). If you get the blood drawn for the test at the doc's office or a clinic, they will have to send it out. It may take 3-5 business days.

You need to find out if your natural hormone levels are bouncing back a few months after a cycle. Trust me, it is a very good idea. Get your liver enzymes checked as well. Make sure you specifically request your free and total test levels since they don't usually do it without being asked.
