winny speed question

I know winny can enhance someone's speed, but I don't understand how? What does it do that makes someone quicker and when they come off of it, will they just go back to being their regular speed even if they keep up on their drills and stuff. I am curious bc I am an athlete who relies heavily on speed and right now I need to get faster and therefore I'm very interested in winny but I want to make sure I know what I'm doing with it and if it will help me attain my personal goals.

lean muscle gains, hardly any water weight, and most of the gains are kept afterwards.
