Phosphatidylersine is a phospholipid- a molecule made up of two fatty acids and a phosphate group attached to a glycerol backbone.
PS is concentrated in brain cells(approx. 70% of the brain) and is related to brain cell fuction and neurotransmitter metabolism.
PS is also found in muscle tissue and cells in the immune system so it's very possible it plays a role in structural and functional muscle metabolism and immune system function.
The supplementation of PS is claiming to reduce muscle breakdown and increase the immune system.

The idea behind this is that PS has shown to reduce cortisol blood levels, thus lowering amino acid catobolism.

    It is OTC
