No, and yes - in that order. This is the kind of stuff you don't want to play with.

Cardura is an alpha inhibitor which also acts as a diuretic. It is used primarily not for high blood pressure, but for benign prostatic hyperplasia - impeded urinary flow due to enlarged prostate. Treating high blood pressure is its secondary indication.

Cardura is manufactured by Pfizer (the friendly folks that gave us Viagra). For full prescribing information, go to this link and enter cardura as your search term under the Prescribing Information section.

Is it dangerous? Very. At your age, a bit of high blood pressure causd by AS use (assuming you do not already have a history of hypertension or heart disease) is insignificant compared to the hypotention (low blood pressure) that can be caused by Cardura. The drug carries both a slew of warnings and a slew of side effects.

There are many things that can raise your blood pressure naturally, let alone on AS. These include cardio exercise as well as weightlifting. Barring any complications or underlying conditions, a raise in blood pressure during activity is normal; if your blood pressure is increased so significantly when doing AS as to be dangerous, the proper solution is to cut or cease your AS, not to add an anti-hypertensive medication.

Moreover, there are many types of blood pressure medications that include ACE inhibitors, angiotensins, and diuretics; the particular medication prescribed for an individual with high B/P depends on just that - the individual, and it would be impossible, even if you had hypertension normally, to "prescribe" a proper medication for you without a comprehensive physical examination and lab work. There are some things that are best left to doctors who do a face-to-face examination, not to fellow lifters or bodybuilders, regardless of their knowledge, nor to the wacky world of cyber-medicine; this is one of those areas.
