Question for those who use calipers...

hey everyone, i know calipers arent all that accurate, but that's all i have for now (besides that crappy tanita bf scale). i was just wondering what spots YOU use to measure. i've checked out google and it seems that there's a 7 spot method, a 3 spot method, 4 spot, etc. which of these would be ideal for measuring bf with calipers? and again, which spots do you all use? thanks in advance

I like the results off thighs, chest and abs personally. But the best thing is variety - I have seen those who do not even go to the lower body which could not give acurate results since there are many who are genetically predisposed to hold more below the waste.

My advice for you for good results with calipers: Teach someone else to do it. Have the same person do it everytime. Calipers can be acurate to measure the change in composition if the same person does it everytime.

I have digital calipers. They use pec, ab's and inner thigh. I don't know how accurate I am with it but at least I get an idea of how I'm doing

I'm with warrior on this one a skilled person using calipers on you can have a very accurate read on BF% and certainly changes in composition over time.
