    CLA amount

    How much CLA would you reccomend i take to cut down fat? And when throughout the day should i be comsuming it?

    I take 5 grams of CLA a day....2.5 post workout......2.5 in my bedtime shake....

    I take a Tonolin Blend of 1000mg which cointains 750 mg CLA. I take i follwing each meal

    Regarding CLA use, what I've read you need to overdose (8-9grams a day or more) to really get much effect from it. The guy quoted a study that showed over a 12 week period 3.4g/day led to an additional 2 pound weight loss. Not very exciting. I just read a post where a guy said he used 30g/day and was losing 1-2 lbs of fat/day. I never used it.

    i've used CLA in varying amounts and didn't get any results.
    i thought this supp had a proven track record for not meeting it's hype.
    (along with HMB)

    I've read several times that an effective amount is 4 gms/ed. 1 gm with each meal and 1 gm at bedtime.

    I think the original studies on CLA had the subjects taking 6 grams per day. I have personally experimented with various dosages and find 6+ grams to work very well. Actaully, I take 3 750 mg caps 3 time per day. 9 total. I see a difference when I am not supplimenting with CLA. I can't give you any exact lbs lost that I could attribute directly to CLA but I have drank the kool-aid and am a believer. I went from 310 to 175 in 13 months from June 1-2001 to July 1-2002.
