B12 Aspiration?

If you forget to aspirate what can happen?
My friend forgot to do it, he did 1 cc in his legs, any need to be alarmed?

if there was a problem he would know right away i would suspect.
Should't be a problem though, just be careful =)

Just remember to aspirate every time no matter what your shooting.

Aspirate the syringe - pull back slightly on the plunger - you will see one of two things. (A). You will see a couple small air bubbles that when you stop applying pressure upward on the plunger will readily go back into the muscle or (B). Droplets of blood. (A) being the obviously favorable one. If there is blood you must pull out, switch needles and start over.

If you do not do it you can hit a vein and put the injection in a fast route to your heart. And AAS is an intramuscluar injection - not intervenous. Intervenous causes a FAST absorbtion.

I do believe most f' ups follow with a blood trickle from the injection site. I had this happen and got light headed and nautious. It was 2mL of Deca . After I ate some breakfast I felt fine.

What gauge needle? An insulin syringe would be least likely to hit and puncture a vein.

so when u inject you have to pull the plunger back??? and if its blood it means u hit a vien?? if its smal air bubbles and the plunger goes back into the the syringe means its fine?? ive done many injections never had a problem... but now aspirating??

If the slightest amount of blood trickles in pull out grab a new tip and inject and aspirate again. With everything you shoot AS or B12.

He meant from the injection site - not while aspirating. He had forgotten to aspirate on this shot.

I'll add for Mr. Capone that in the event you have to start over, remove the previous needle and replace with a new one before resticking. Remember to clear the air out of the new needle head. Don't do the second attempt with the same needle. Also, it sounds like you have some reading to do before you continue anything...
