L-Carnitine is essential to transport long chain fatty acids across the mitochondrial membrane for subsequent fat breakdown and energy production. But L-Carnitne do not promote local fat lose.
It just transport fatty acids from blood to the cells.

If you want to try L-Carnitine supplementation - just take the pill. It is an amino acid that will be absorbed well enough by just taking it orally. I can't think of any reason to make it injectable, unless some one can shed some light on this for me.

Also - Acetyl-L-Carnitine is a better form, IMO. It is a metabolite of L-Carnitine with many of the same benefits and many more... such as being an effective LH stimulator when overtrining begins to become aparent and increasing acetylcholine for better mental focus.
