Crossing the border, checking ID, what information pulls up on their computer?

Been to TJ a few time recently and everytime you cross they check your ID and look at some info on there computer. What the heck are they checking out? Do they keep track of how many times you visit Mexico? Or are they just checking to see if you are legal, have no warrants, and or prior convictions?

Believe it pulls up information like that in a police car - prior arrests, any outstanding warrants, whether you're you or not.

I'm not sure about U.S. & Mexico border, but when I (over the summer) went to the states almost twice a week (due to some business related stuff) they would always punch something into the computer, but never did they say or mention anything about how often I'd been there. So I doubt they keep a record.

Well there arent any rules that say you can only visit mexico a certain amount of times/year is it? And as far as they know you can be a buisness man or a guy that goes to mexico to visit his girl. I doubt they care how many times you go.
