Can be used for gyno....it's an lh-rh analog, lowers estrogen.
But apparently it does more than just that...

In the first article I am finishing for Rx-Muscle I go into some detail on the use of synthetic GnRH analogs. The one you mention happens to be my favorite, actually. Lupron Depot is a long acting (30 day) GnRH analog clinically used to shut down male HPTA function for various reasons such as prostate BPH and hypothalamic tumors. No doubt you just freaked and decided it is a bad thing at this point. Like the common error where it is advised to continuously administer HCG for 3 weeks or more (some really scary people advise 6 months continuously which results in total post-administration HPTA shut-down) the error is application and adequate understanding of a drugs Action/Reaction Factors in the body. During longer protocols or Phase Cycles we employ long acting menotropins and GnRH analogs to delay the onset of the inevitable HPTA shut down. In doing so the athlete retains a greater degree of HPTA activity thus allowing for an easier regeneration post-cycle or mid-cycle up-regulation. As example if Lupron Depot is administered on day 15 of an 8 week protocol the HPTA does not actually down-regulate until about day 40 to any real degree. Then if the athlete applies an intermittent Clomid/HCG protocol beginning at the end of week 8 (assuming that short and mid range active-life AAS were used) then the HPTA down regulation never falls below 50-60% and comes back on line at 100-200% by week 10 at the latest. Works very well and we have employed this for years successfully.

A. For the best results, it's important that your child have the right amount of Lupron Depot-PED in his or her body at all times. Shots should be given on a regular schedule; this is absolutely necessary for success. Missing even one dose could restart the maturation process.

A. Aside from soreness at the site of the injection that should get better after a couple of days, your child should feel normal while taking Lupron Depot-PED.

A. No. Since the therapy works by stopping early puberty, your child's development of secondary sex characteristics, such as facial hair or breast development, will become less obvious. Therefore, while on Lupron Depot-PED, your child's growth rate will be more like children of his or her age group.

A. When central precocious puberty is left untreated, children go through their major growth spurts much too early. As a result, these children end up being quite a bit shorter than they would have been if their growth spurt had occurred at a more appropriate time. The most appropriate time for this growth spurt to take place is during puberty
