Injection: First time - weird feeling.....
Did my first shot today.
Facing a needle is one of my worst fears. If fact, I was afraid I’d faint.
To my surprise – the fear was completely gone when I started injecting. I was aiming at the spot and just barely touched the skin and realized that the needle was already half inch in – so I pushed it – didn’t feel anything.
Had a problem injecting – it was moving left and right – tried to stabilized the pin with my left hand – that made it worse. Took about 4 sec to push all the stuff in.
Had a drop of blood when I massaged the spot.
It was a great feeling – I’m on the dark side and soon become Darth Vador.
Now I have this feeling – it was too good to be true. Maybe I didn’t do it right, that’s why it was so easy.
Now a feel some soreness
Is there any way to know that the injection went well?Last edited by Rookiejay; 08-11-2003 at 07:34 PM.

If you're alive and your injection site isn't 5x its normal size and hot/red then you're ok. Try quads next time, easiest spot in the world and painless.

4 seconds is too fast for an oil injection (If that's what you are shooting)...it should be more like 40 seconds to inject. And congrats on the cross-over!

Soreness will come depending on what compound you injected. Sust250, Prop, and T400 are most painful. The movement of the pin was probably due to the fact that you were nervous as shit. I remember my first injection way back when. You will get the hang of it bro. Just take your time and inject SUPER SLOW! Do not rush things. But like bdtr said, if your injection site is not red, hot, and/or enlarged you can tag that as a successful injection my friend.
WELCOME TO THE DARK SIDE

Thanks guys,
this kind of support REALLY helps.
Did my second today - followed the advice - did the quad and injected slowly.
So far don't feel anything
Once again
thanks
Jay
PS - I just read somewhere - it says you should (using a band aid) stick an alcohol pad to the spot for a couple of hours - this will reduce the afterpain - I don't know if that's true, but I did it.

I use an alcohol pad to clean injection site, the one more on the site after the injection is done. But I don't leave it on there, just use them to wipe the area clean. Anyhow, whatever works for you and just so you clean the area before hand .. I'd say that is most important.
Welcome to the darkside Bro!

Pretty frickin' easy isn't it?
Just clean the site with alcohol (after a hot shower in the morning is a good time, site is clean and muscles are warm), stick it in, pull back a bit (aspirate ) and be sure no blood, then slide her home. Remove the pin and clean up again with your alcohol pad.
Just keep your site clean, aspirate to check for blood and use quality gear with NEW AND CLEAN syringes/pins everytime and you should have many, many successful injects...
Personally - I think most fears of self administeration are based more on doubts about the cycle and gear being used, rather than fears of the actual process. But I guess there are a percentage of those that DO HAVE needlephobia...
Happy journeys Mr Vador!
